At Project Full Charge, our mission is to provide hearing aid batteries and chargers to hospitalized patients. Hospitalized patients without functioning hearing aids are at risk for feeling isolated and helpless, They have difficulty communicating with staff and family, which can have a negative outcome on their hospital stays.
Founded in 2023 by Elle Perlman, a student at Mira Costa High School. During her volunteer work at a local hospital, she noted that a number of patients couldn't hear because they hadn't brought spare hearing aid batteries or left their hearing aid chargers at home. Because of this, the patients felt isolated and helpless. Elle's idea
Elle's idea was to provide local hospitals with batteries and chargers available for patients to use during their hospital stays.
